Sheeba Ben, M.D.
Dr. Sheeba Ben joined Riverside Pediatric Group in 2006 and cares for Riverside patients in our Hoboken office. Dr. Ben completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Physiology at Boston University in Boston, MA in 1995 and a Masters in Science from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in St. Maarten in 1997. She went to medical school at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine and completed her residency in Pediatrics at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in Newark, NJ in 2003. Dr. Ben is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Also, Dr. Ben currently is actively involved in teaching residents and holds the title of Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at New York Medical College. Prior to joining Riverside, Dr. Ben worked at Linden Pediatric Group and worked as a Pediatric Hospitalist at J.F.K. Medical Center in Edison, NJ. In 1995, Dr. Ben completed research in Neurology at the Autonomic Lab at the New England Deacones Hospital in Boston, MA.
Reflecting the respect she garners among her colleagues, Dr. Ben was recognized as “Riverside Doctor of the Year” in 2006. Further testament towards how beloved Dr. Ben is by her patients, she received the coveted “America’s Top Pediatrician” award in 2009. Dr. Ben has a special interest in caring for children with Asthma and Allergies. She believes “communication is key in providing good patient care, especially to ensure proper follow-up and compliance with treatment”. Dr. Ben lives in New York City. Her hobbies include travel, cooking, arts, movies and (as is evident by her style) fashion.
