Our Patient Care Coordinators
As a final measure towards demonstrating our commitment to delivering the highest level of healthcare to your child and making your experience with Riverside Pediatric Group as pleasant as possible, we have two Patient Care Coordinators. The Patient Care Coordinators are responsible for overseeing overall practice operations and addressing any specific issues that our patients’ families may have. Please feel free to contact Miriam Baker or Margaret Atoot if you have any questions or concerns regarding your experience with Riverside Pediatric Group.
Margaret Atoot is Riverside’s Senior Practice Administrator and Patient Care Coordinator. Prior to joining Riverside, Margaret graduated with a Bachelors of Science from Rutgers University with a major in Business Management and a minor in Finance. She has overseen Riverside’s growth from one office in Jersey City to six offices throughout Hudson, Bergen and Passaic counties. Since joining Riverside in 1985, Margaret has been involved in all aspects of patient care from staff and physician management to patient care and billing services. Margaret oversees administration of Riverside’s offices and is happy to assist patients with all aspects of patient care.
Margaret is devoted to assuring that Riverside’s philosophy of “putting the patient and their family first” is upheld throughout all of Riverside’s offices and manifested in all that Riverside’s staff and doctors do. Among her many accomplishments, the one she is most proud of is establishing a culture where patients and their families feel at home at Riverside and are confident they are receiving the best medical care available. Margaret is a proud and long-time resident of Secaucus, NJ – home to Riverside’s Headquarters.
Please feel free to contact Margaret if you have any of your questions or concerns. She can be reached at the Riverside Headquarters in Secaucus at 201-863-3346.
Miriam Baker, J.D., M.P.P. has been serving as Riverside’s Executive Medical Director and Patient Care Coordinator since 2009. She joined the Riverside family with the goal of assuring that the excellent clinical care that Riverside patients receive is matched with equally exemplary service. This role encompasses all aspects of patient service ranging from ensuring that all doctors and staff are trained in the specific and unique touch of dealing with an ill child in their time of need, to scheduling patients for the prenatal/child-raising classes hosted by Riverside Pediatrics. Miriam does a superb job making sure that your experience with Riverside, whether your child is sick or well, is as pleasant as possible.
Miriam received her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University in Washington D.C., where she met her husband and Riverside pediatrician Dr. Zeyad Baker. She then went on to Harvard University in Cambridge, MA where she earned her Master’s in Public Policy, followed by her Law Degree from The George Washington University Law School in Washington D.C. Miriam has applied her Ivy League education and background in policy making towards establishing an unparalleled culture of “our patients come first!” at Riverside Pediatric Group. Thanks to this continuing endeavor Miriam’s efforts have resulted in Riverside being recognized as the leader in its field across all patient care categories.
Miriam welcomes input from Riverside’s parents on any and all aspects of patient care. Miriam can be reached at the Riverside Headquarters in Secaucus (201) 863-3346 or on her cellular phone number at (201) 774-0149.
